Emergency Intergroup Meeting

Your attendance is being requested for an emergency meeting being held for the purpose of electing officers on December 4th at Liberty Place at 7:00 PM. The doors will be open at 6:45 so we can begin promptly at 7. If you are late, you may miss the opportunity to nominate and/or vote for a candidate. You should plan to be there for at least an hour.

Here is the procedure that will be used:

— The candidates for each position will be presented one at a time.

— Nominations from the floor will be accepted.

— We will vote by secret ballot.

— The candidate who receives two-thirds of the votes wins; two-thirds is substantial unanimity.

— If no one wins, we will vote again. After four unsuccessful ballots, the members have the option for a fifth ballot or “going to the hat;” When you go to the hat, the names are placed in a hat and the winner is drawn by lot.
